Biography<\/h2>\n

Eduard de Negri is a guitarist and composer of new music and contemporary jazz in the mediterranean music scene. His musical beginnings are tied to the \u201cSo Laiet\u00e0\u201d (a rock and folk movement in Catalonia during the early 70\u2019s), with the band \u201cCarretera i Manta\u201d (Road and Blanket).<\/p>\n

Between the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s he performed various tours and concerts throughout Spain, sharing the stage with some of the biggest bands of all time: Jethro Tull, Supertramp, Leonard Cohen, Joe Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Gary Moore and B-40.<\/em> During this period he also worked as an accompanying guitarist for the catalan singer-songwriter, Maria Cinta<\/em>. At the same time, with his band, the \u201cEduard de Negri Group\u201d he started to make a name for himself in the Spanish music scene, participating in \u201cLa Bienal de la Europa Mediterranea\u201d, and in TV shows like \u201cJazz Entre Amigos\u201d(Jazz Among Friends), \u201cA media voz\u201d o \u201cM\u00fasica Vista\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the 90\u2019s he formed the \u201cEduard de Negri Trio\u201d with Jordi Ruiz on bass, Ernest Martinez<\/em> on percussion and Eduard de Negri on acoustic and classical guitar. They played in various festivals like the \u201cFestival Internacional de Jazz de Sevilla\u201d or the \u201cFestival Internacional de Guitarra de C\u00f3rdoba\u201d. They have played more than 100 concerts since.<\/p>\n

He later formed a duo with the guitarist Tato Latorre \u201cFusi\u00f3 Acustica\u201d with whom he played a series of concerts in 2000 in Catalonia, also opening for Jethro Tull<\/em> in his Andalusian tour.<\/p>\n

In the early 2000\u2019s he formed another Trio with Massimiliano Liberatore<\/em> on drums, tabla and percussion, and Climent Lanaspa<\/em> on bass, while he also composed music for some advertising spots. <\/p>\n

For more than 5 years, Eduard de Negri served as vice president of the \u201cCatalan Association of Jazz and Modern Musicians\u201d.<\/p>\n

In 2004 he moved from the city of Barcelona to Masia Can Pascol<\/a> (Catalan Rural House) in the village of Pontons, in the Alt Pened\u00e8s wine region. Once he settled there, he continued to pursue his musical interests, and eventually started the project of building his own professional recording studio, Natural Sound<\/strong>. He also created his own record label, a project he had always dreamed of, to record and produce both his own music and other people\u2019s projects. <\/p>\n

Natural Sound<\/strong> is where Eduard de Negri has recorded his latest album, \u201cEsperit del Vent\u201d (spirit of the wind) with Dick Team on bass, Eloi Lopez<\/em> on drums, Horacio Fumero<\/em> on double bass, and Frank Paredes<\/em>, recording engineer of Natural Sound<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
